The same core awards feature in Horse Explorers and Challenge Awards with similar content but a different design; allowing you flexibility with the product you feel suits you.
If you’re looking to improve your bond, knowledge, and skills with a healthy, happy horse in or out of the saddle, the challenge awards are perfect for you. You can learn how to care for horses, develop hands-on, practical skills and get stuck in with the day-to-day tasks.
The awards come in 3 different levels, starting with Bronze, and working up to Platinum Level, so it doesn’t matter what previous experience you have with horses or if you’re a complete beginner. All you need is enthusiasm and a love for horses! You can work through the awards at your own pace and advance your knowledge and skills around what’s important to you. For example, some awards focus on horse care and health, and others focus on riding skills and safety.
You will receive expert guidance and support from one of our BHS Approved Coaches, who will help you work towards achieving your personal goals. But most importantly, you’ll have fun along the way. There are no registration fees, and You don’t have to be a member of the British Horse Society to complete these awards.
